…When you have a fantastic glass of wine, or when you learn something new. I know that two of my most favorite things in this world are a fine wine and an interesting story.

I recently decided that I needed a new creative project, so I thought I would combine my favorite activities–drinking red wine & learning about history. On my blog, History & Wine, I will share my experiences with both. Sometimes you may get a history lesson, other times, a delicious wine recommendation, and if you are lucky, you may get a lesson/wine pairing.

Stay tuned for some of the most interesting (mostly) true stories you have ever read. This won’t be your average history professor’s lesson plan, either. There is a good chance that I am actually drinking wine as I’m re-telling the story. Don’t be surprised if my colorful commentary seeps through the lines of historical fact. Some stories may surprise you, others you may know, but I’ll try to keep the stories as addicting as the finest of wines.

Please feel free to give me ideas of historical stories you would like to hear. I want to write about what you want to read about.

I look forward to embarking on this drunken historical journey with you.

  1. Do we also get to suggest the wine? 🙂 If so, I’d propose a 2008 Chilean Carmenere and the Sumner-Brooks Affair.

Sounds like a great concept, I’ll be reading.

    1. Yes! Please suggest wine as well! I always love new wine recommendations! Especially if you think a particular wine would go really well with a story. 🙂
