Wine-I have neglected you.
Well, not in real life, but only on my blog. I feel that my digressions of the past few weeks have made me stray from writing about one of the title topics of History and Wine: Wine.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I think that the topics of the last few posts (Jon Hammar and Dinero Away From Mexico) are extremely important. However, let’s get back to the happy topic of drinking. In fact, we should be celebrating our victory in bringing Jon home to his family!
What have I been drinking lately?
Really. Cheap. Wine.
Have you ever tried the Trader Joe’s Three-Buck Chuck Charles Shaw wine? I am loving the Shiraz and Cab.
It’s a very easy drinking wine, and the best of the cheap wines-for sure.
Some of you may say, “But isn’t Charles Shaw two-buck chuck?” The answer is yes, if you live in California. But I live in Virginia, and the wine is slightly over $3 here. Therefore, I will be calling it three-buck chuck.
If you have not tried the cheap wine from Trader Joe’s, you really should. It won’t put a dent in your wallet, and you can drink it all night long. (I may know this from experience.)
Next time you need a cheap bottle or two for a Sex and the City girls night in, don’t go for Yellowtail, or even worse, Barefoot (gross), just swing by Trader Joe’s and pick up a Charles Shaw Shiraz. That is, of course, if you are lucky enough to live near a Trader Joe’s.
** Wine is also good with Trader Joe’s Alphabet Gingerbread cookies.**
