Happy Women’s History Month!


To celebrate, I dedicated my March Vino column in Biscayne Times to some of our very accomplished female wine professionals in Miami.

These are Miami women in wine who are inspiring curiosity, educating, building wine programs, changing hospitality, and adding to the vibrant Miami beverage community. They each have their own unique way of doing this as seen through their various roles in the industry.

Jacqueline Coleman has been immersed in the wine industry since 2012 as a seasoned wine and travel writer, podcast host, wine judge, and consultant. She pens the monthly “Vino” column for Biscayne Times and is a regular guest host on Linda Gassenheimer’s podcast, “Food, News, and Views,” where she covers wine and drinks each week. She is also the Miami Ambassador for Star Wine List. Jacqueline holds several prestigious wine certifications, including the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 3 Award in Wine, the International Sommelier Guild (ISG) intermediate wine certification, the U.S. Sommelier Association sommelier certification, and Florida International University’s (FIU) Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management Wine Business Program. She is also a Certified Sherry Wine Specialist (CSWS) through the Wine Scholar Guild. Her expertise is recognized across the industry, bringing informed, relatable, and expert content to wine enthusiasts and professionals alike.
