September Vino Column “A Sampling of Rhône Reds”

I’m a sucker for a Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine, but if you’re on a tight budget and craving that special blend, you might have to stick with a Côtes du Rhône. Luckily for all of us, I tried seven of your average economical red Rhône wines in my September Vino column in Miami’s Biscayne Times newspaper, and I present them to you here.

Some of you may know by now, Biscayne Times is the only newspaper in Miami that has a regular wine column, so kudos to the BT.  Each month, you can read my reviews of wines under $15 in a designated category. All of my past columns (for over two years now!) are archived on the Biscayne Times website under “Monthly Wine Column,” or you can find them on my blog on the Biscayne Times page.

Please drop me a comment if you have any additional suggestions, or if you’d like to see a certain category of wine in a column.

Cheers to September Rhône reds & Vino columns past, present, and future!
