August Vino Column “Brave the Heat with Lighter Reds”

We’re not out of the woods yet when it comes to the weather. Here in Florida, the past couple of weeks of August have felt like the warmest yet this year.

When it comes to wine drinking, I’ve never been of the mindset that there is only one season for imbibing in a certain style of wine. However, I understand why you may not want to drink a heavy Cab outside in the blazing August heat. But that also doesn’t mean that you are stuck with drinking Sauvignon Blanc until September! There are some ways to be creative with your wine drinking.

August Vino Column “Brave the Heat with Lighter Reds”

In my latest Vino column in Biscayne Times, I cover seven bottles of economical reds that are perfect for summertime happy hours. Many of these wines can even be chilled a bit if you’re looking for a cool beverage for sipping on the balcony. From Grenache to Valpolicella and even Pinot Noir. Check out my latest Vino column for new wine suggestions this month.
