I love writing about places I love. Especially places I love in France.
In 2021, I was lucky enough to travel to France twice between July and October. After the first trip to Gérard Bertrand’s jazz festival in July, I told myself that I definitely wanted to dive more into the Languedoc region of southern France. I was so intrigued by its beauty and diversity when it comes to the landscape, grapes, and styles of wine.
Much to my delight, I was invited back to the very same region by the Wines of Languedoc organization. This next trip took place in October, and it was a deeper dive into two very special smaller AOPs: Limoux and Cabardès.
While it has been a few months since those lovely trips, I finally had an opportunity to brag about this underappreciated region as a whole in my April Vino column for Biscayne Times.
